ignotus Editions

Ignotus Editions provides high-resolution wide-format printing for digital fine art and photography. Rather than acting as a service bureau (there are plenty of those already) Ignotus Editions provides the sort of careful collaboration that master printmakers have traditionally offered to artists.

Artist and printmaker Paul Hertz  has worked for nearly three decades with a variety of digital printing technologies. He taught digital printmaking at the School of the Art Institute and Columbia College in Chicago. He studied color workflow at Cone Editions, one of the first print studios in the world to offer fine art digital printing. He has studied the history of digital printing in depth and co-curated a major exhibition of computer prints at the Block Museum in 2008 (a show hailed by the Chicago Tribune as one of the ten best shows of the year). His own prints have been shown internationally.

From time to time we will publish news about Ignotus Editions on this page and in our blog.
