A "four-color solution" for a group of four tiles that together constitute a "12-point solution." See Ignotheory (pdf, 2M) for an explanation. The colors and textures of the paint are both reflective of the place I was living, a town in Catalunya, in a house just a short walk from the Mediterranean, and of color mixing based on Fibonacci numbers, which are also used in the geometric proportions of the composition.
