Like About My Island, Islas explores the structures that can emerge from the "boundary-dissolving" rules. It is colored very subtly, so as to make the discovery of the emergent forms a game of patience. There are several "islands" in the pattern, colored shapes entirely surrounded by gray. The computer graphic Prairie, from 1999, makes the emergent shapes explicit.
